The beginning of my project that you all have seen was the code. The code was the fun part, maybe. I am much more of visual and artsy person, though I don’t seem to have an affinity for the actual art classes I have.
Anyways, during CSAI my class had been tasked with making arcade boxes using traditional red, yellow, blue, and green buttons. Using many wires and alligator clippy chompers for making wires, I successfully made a box… Issue was, mine was a mess. So naturally, I grabbed the duct tape and wrapped it around my box like a present at christmas. It was beautiful, of course, I couldn’t forget the black electrical tape…Uh,I may not have a picture, but let me tell you, it looked like BMO from Adventure Time but grey, black, and tan.
Regardless, because I am the way I am, I have also completely color coded the wires. Why? I don’t know. I wanted to so I did. It made it easier for me to process which one was which I guess. I think so.
There are actually two versions, or there once was the original one. Sadly, that box has been lost to the hands of my brother, who took the poor BMO box and tossed it around like King Kong with his prey. The other one is my newest renovation, a shoebox with tan paint and grass, meant to be designed like an ending block in my game as you find an exit, or the secret.
I had fun making the little box but I was doing the final one a long time ago, but then I forgot about it, so as it was half painted, at 2am I had to finish making the thing, and I was so so tired. I just wanted to literally get knocked out. I was miserable, but I did the job,and I think it looked alright.
Of course there’s a lot of different things I can add to my projects all the time but I always will be satisfied, usually, with what I create. I think it’s just on the whole design that gets me going, and if I’m not happy with it, then I don’t actually restart, but I make do with it till I am happy with it. It’s just a process of adding stuff.
Either way, my boxes were pretty good lookin if I do say so myself. I’m proud of the now deceased BMO, and my funk final paint design.
I just think the only struggle I had was officially focusing on the work and the wiring. Cutting the ends just enough so I can twist the copper rods with another and slide it into something and crush the two together in the little blue thing and I don’t know. It hurt my hands and was a tedious process of pain and fun. Mainly because the wire cutters looked like lil alligators or dragon heads, and I thought that was funny.
Pictures will be added later…BMO will not appear…he is long gone.
